STANFORD, Calif. – Behind juniors Kathryn Plummer and Audriana Fitzmorris, No. 2 Stanford women's volleyball swept No. 21 Washington State, 25-15, 30-28, 25-12, Friday, at Maples Pavilion.
 
Plummer led all players with 16 kills on .387 hitting to go with six digs and two blocks. Fitzmorris added 12 kills and six blocks, while posting a .385 attack percentage.
 
Stanford (15-1, 7-0 Pac-12) won its 13th consecutive match and its 26th straight at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal it .374 and held the Cougars (13-4, 4-3 Pac-12) to a .118 clip.
 
Junior libero Morgan Hentz, who has been named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week four times this season, racked up 20 digs, five assists and her first kill of the season on a wacky rally in the first set. The Lakeside Park, Kentucky native, has tallied double-digit digs in all 16 matches this season.
 
The Cardinal served tough in the opening set, recording five of its season-best 10 aces in the first. Sophomore defensive specialist Sidney Wilson matched her career-high with four aces in the first set, while sophomore Meghan McClure also had a career-high four aces in the match.
 
Stanford is now 61-4 all-time against Washington State and has won four in a row over the Cougars, who entered the week in a five-way tie for second place in the Pac-12.
 


McClure finished with seven kills on .312 hitting and six digs, while senior middle blocker Tami Alade registered seven kills on 11 errorless swings to hit .636 and had six blocks. Freshman middle blocker Holly Campbell pitched in with three kills and four blocks.
 
Junior setter Jenna Gray put up 39 assists, six digs, three kills, two blocks and an ace in the win. The Shawnee, Kansas native entered the week ranked second nationally with 12.78 assists per set.
 

 
Washington State was led by senior outside hitter Taylor Mims, who had 12 kills on .476 hitting in two sets played. Mims left the match late in the second set with an injury as the Cardinal mounted its comeback. Three other Cougars each recorded six kills, while libero Alexis Dirige totaled 11 digs.
 
Stanford will have a quick turnaround as it faces No. 18 Washington on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is the Cardinal's annual Pink Night presented by Stanford Medicine. The team will continue to raise money for the Women's Cancer Center at Stanford Hospital.
