Freshman Features: Taylor Ruck

STANFORD, Calif. - In the seventh of a nine-part series, Cardinal fans get a chance to meet Canadian Olympic medalist, Taylor Ruck, who owns two bronze medals from Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

What are you most looking forward to about Stanford?
I'm looking forward to getting the opportunity to know so many new people and make connections that will last a lifetime!

Favorite swimming moment so far?
My favorite swimming moment so far has been winning bronze on Canada's 4x100 freestyle relay in Rio.

Best part about being a swimmer?
The best part about being a swimmer is that we all get so close and relate so well to one another. We all push each other in practice every day, which is my favorite part about the sport.

Biggest passion outside of swimming?
My biggest passion apart from swimming is art, since it is so fun to make and see the finished product!

Favorite Netflix series right now?
Bob's Burgers or The Office.

Name three things on your bucket list.
Skydiving, go to Greece, and go in an anti-gravity chamber.

What are your career aspirations after Stanford/swimming?
I want to become successful in whatever job I do and make an impact on the world.
