For the first time this season Stanford will play consecutive home games as the Cardinal hosts San Jose State at Maples Pavilion Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tuesday's contest will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, with the live audio broadcast from the Cardinal Sports Network available on TuneIn.

In Stanford's six road contests over its first nine games, the Cardinal traveled a total of 16,339 miles inside and outside the United States. with stops in Wilmington, North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Lawrence, Kansas and Paradise Island, Bahamas.
YOUNG SQUAD
Eleven of Stanford's 15 players are in their first or second year playing. Only senior Josh Sharma and juniors Marcus Sheffield, Trevor Stanback and Rodney Herenton entered the year with at least two seasons played. Through nine games, first and second-year players have accounted for 82.3 percent of Stanford's scoring (549 of 643) and 83.8 percent of Stanford's rebounding (269 of 321).
Stanford's starting lineup in four games this season has been made up of three sophomores (Daejon Davis, KZ Okpala, Oscar da Silva) and two freshmen (Cormac Ryan and Bryce Wills). The Cardinal is one of only four teams in Division I that have started all freshmen and sophomores, this season, joining East Carolina, Incarnate Word and Mount St. Mary's.
AGAINST SAN JOSE STATE
Stanford has faced its Bay Area neighbor 50 times previously, holding a 38-12 advantage against the Spartans. The two teams have not met on the hardwood in over a decade, with the last matchup coming on Nov. 14, 2006 at Maples Pavilion. Stanford has won the last three games in the series. The Spartans last defeated the Cardinal on Dec. 2, 1992, a 56-62 setback at San Jose State. Stanford is 31-4 at home against San Jose State in the all-time series.
AGAINST THE MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE
Stanford owns a 106-42 all-time record against current teams in the Mountain West Conference. The Cardinal has played San Jose State (50) the most. Stanford owns a winning record against all but one school (3-4 vs. Wyoming). Stanford's last game against a Mountain West Conference opponent was a 56-49 victory over Colorado State on Nov. 20, 2016.
OKPALA'S IMPACT AS A SOPHOMORE
Sophomore KZ Okpala is averaging a team-best 15.9 ppg in 31.9 mpg through nine games this season. He averaged 9.9 ppg in 29.6 mpg in his first nine games last season. The forward, who had a career-best 29 points in the season opener against Seattle, is eighth in the Pac-12 in scoring. He was voted the Pac-12 Player of the Week on Nov. 12.
RYAN AMONG PAC-12'S BEST THREE-POINT THREATS
Freshman Cormac Ryan ranks third in the Pac-12, averaging 2.3 three-point field goals per game. He scored a team-best 12 points, all in the second half and all on three-pointers, against Florida. The freshman has recorded at least four three-point field goals in a game in four of nine contests (5 vs. Seattle, 4 vs. North Carolina, 4 vs. Florida, 4 vs. Eastern Washington). He has multiple three-point field goals in five games overall and is shooting 33.9 percent from three-point range (21-of-62) overall. Ryan's 21 three-point field goals are tied for the most in the Pac-12 this season, through Dec. 16. Ryan is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.0 ppg.
DAVIS CONTRIBUTING ON BOTH ENDS
Sophomore Daejon Davis, who broke Brevin Knight's school freshman assist record with 160 last season, has started all 42 career games he has played in. No Stanford player is hotter in the last two games than the sophomore. He has back-to-back 19-point performances against Kansas and Eastern Washington. The point guard is averaging 10.1 ppg, with 13 steals in nine games. His 1.4 steals per game average is sixth in the Pac-12. The sophomore has posted at least four points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals in two games this season against UNC Wilmington and Middle Tennessee. He has posted at least four points, four rebounds and four assists in four of Stanford's nine games so far. He matched his career-high rebound total with 10 boards vs. Middle Tennessee.
WILLS ONE OF NATION'S YOUNGEST PLAYERS
With a birthdate of October 13, 2000, Bryce Wills is the youngest player in the Pac-12 and one of the youngest in Division I. With most of the Division I schools reporting, Wills is the seventh-youngest player in the nation. He has started four games, with a career-best 10 points against Portland State.
WHITE DIALED IN FROM LONG RANGE
Sophomore Isaac White, who led Stanford with 38 three-pointers last season, is one of the Pac-12's top three-point threats again. He ranks second in the conference in three-point field percentage at 61.5 percent. White was 5-of-5 from beyond the arc at No. 2 Kansas. White has seen 42 minutes of action in the last two games, after totaling 23 over the first seven contests.
DA SILVA'S SECOND-HALF PRODUCTION
Oscar da Silva has scored 52 of his 72 points on the season in the second half. Over the last seven games, 48 of his 62 points have come after halftime. Last time out in the win over Eastern Washington, da Silva recorded 13 of his career-high 16 points in the second half.
JOSH JAMS
Of senior Josh Sharma's 25 field goals on the season, 14 have been dunks. He has seven dunks in the last four games. The center also has a presence on the defensive end, ranking 10th in the Pac-12 with 10 blocks.
SHEFFIELD BACK
Redshirt junior Marcus Sheffield has returned to the lineup this season, after missing the entire 2017-18 season. He injured his leg in practice a couple days before the regular-season opener last year. Sheffield, who poured in a career-best 35 points against Arizona State on Dec. 30, 2016, averaged 6.7 ppg during his true sophomore campaign in 2016-17. Sheffield is averaging 5.5 ppg in 15.0 mpg off the bench in the first nine games of 2018-19.
