REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – No. 9 Stanford men's rowing and No. 2 California staged a battle in the 85th annual Big Row at Redwood Shores Saturday morning, with the Golden Bears taking all three races.
The Cardinal varsity eight, which last raced two weeks ago with a win over then-No. 10 Wisconsin at Redwood Shores, completed the course in a time of 5:44.3 Saturday morning. The Bears took the race with a time of 5:33.6.

Cal captured the second varsity eight race with a time of 5:37.7 to Stanford's 6:02.5.
The Bears also won the third varsity eight, completing the course in a time of 5:49.5. Stanford finished with a time of 6:21.5.
Stanford now turns its focus to next Saturday, where the Cardinal will face No. 18 Oregon State in Dexter, Oregon. The Cardinal will then compete in the Pac-12 Championships on May 13 at Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.
