All-around force: Sophomore Kyla Bryant collected her fifth consecutive all-around title of the season, matching her career high on floor with 9.925. She has won 13 events this season and 16 during her two-year career. Bryant ranks No. 16 in all-around, averaging 39.340.

Finishing kick: The Cardinal established a season-high on beam with 49.075 and matched its season-best on floor with 49.175. Last year, Stanford had trouble competing with a full lineup on bars due to injuries.

Youth is served: The 17-member Cardinal roster features 11 underclassmen, including five first-year student-athletes. Rookies Morgan Hoang (floor), Wesley Stephenson (bars, beam), Grace Waguespack (bars) and Madison Brunette (bars) have competed. Hoang collected her first collegiate title in a tri-meet against Sacramento State and Seattle Pacific by scoring 9.875 in floor exercise.

Post-meet comments: Second-year head coach Tabitha Yim offered the following observations after the Washington meet.

On building consistency: "Last meet, we did a really nice job at the start on vault and bars, then had a little struggle on beam. This meet we flipflopped. Same goals we've had all year. Those little mistakes add up. We just have to clean it up and push to be more consistent."

On staying positive: "You can definitely see the momentum growing. That's what drives us even more. We can feel it within our reach and keep getting closer. We need to turn the corner on this next road trip so that we feel really strong heading into our next home meet against Utah."

On meet standouts: "Morgan did great on her exhibition on beam. First time up there and she was so solid. Kaylee (Cole) was dynamite as a starter for us and sometimes if you're just looking at the score sheet, you don't realize how important she is to what we've doing. All of our upperclassmen are doing a good job."
