Join our community relations and promotions team for events in the Bay Area during the 2018 summer months. Staffers are not required to attend all events (Note: many events are on nights and weekends). The staff for most events will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis from a larger pool of personnel.
Duties may include:
• Attend select community events to staff the Stanford Athletics table• Interact with event attendees to distribute free materials and facilitate enter-to-win contests as applicable

Digital & Video Assistant
Stanford Athletics seeks motivated individuals to work as part-time Video Producers supporting the Digital & Creative Video team.
Duties may include:
• Help capture video content at Stanford athletic events• Label archived footage for Stanford’s 36 sports

Fan Experience Cardinal Crew
Learn how to develop and implement fan experience engagement plans for designated sports including football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, gymnastics, softball and baseball. These individuals will also serve as Stanford’s promotional team and assist in keeping crowds entertained by handling the coordination and execution of promotional operations at events.
Duties may include:
• Work with external operations personnel including sales and customer service, marketing, ticket operations, event management, and facilities to learn how to execute a successful event• Game day event management (pre-game, in-game and post-game responsibilities)

Public Address Announcer
Serves as the venue’s public address announcer. Responsibilities and level of interaction varies by sport. Reports to on-site representatives from either Communications and Fan Experience, with some sports requiring a higher degree of attention when reading from a script.
Duties may include:
• Announce starting lineups, in-game announcements, public address announcements, presentations, sponsorship pa’s, contests, and upcoming events• Read from PA script

Sponsorship Gameday Staff
Stanford Athletics seeks six (6) driven, motivated individuals to work as Game Day Staff supporting the Sponsorship team during the 2018 Football season. Ticket Office Gameday Representative

DAPER interns are valuable members of the staff and are provided the opportunity to learn a great deal about their specific area of interest while also gaining valuable hands-on experience in the successful overall operation of an NCAA Division 1 Athletics department, as well as a highly regarded Recreation department. Cardinal “For-Credit” Internship Opportunities
If your degree requires or allows you to seek internships for credit, we encourage you to express interest in our program. These opportunities are strictly for academic credit and the must contribute to the degree you are pursuing (undergrad or graduate). These are not paid positions. You must provide your university program requirements prior to starting a for-credit internship.
Once you contact us, we will be in touch should an opportunity arise to help you fulfill these requirements. If selected for a “for-credit” internship, your supervisor will work with you on your requirements and ensure you are on track to reach the goals set by your university. A “for-credit” internship provides the same professional development opportunities as the paid internships, and fully immerses you in a high-profile Division 1 athletics department or recreation department.

Athletic Trainer Internship
The Department of Athletics, Athletic Training, is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for a year- long internship. Reporting to the Director, Athletic Training, you will be working cohesively and collaboratively with other athletic trainers, coaches, and physicians to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. Sporting assignments (co-management) will be assigned with the offering of the position.
You have the opportunity to influence student-athletes to lead successful and fulfilling lives, while improving your clinical skills and learning from other professionals in the field.
Compensation: 30 hours/week at $25/hour
Duties may include:
• Deliver a high-level of medical service including, but not limited to, coverage, prevention, assessment, referrals, treatment, and rehabilitation to student-athletes.• Ensure emergency readiness at all sanctioned practices and events.
• Maintain student-athlete compliance with team physician treatment guidelines.
• Assure confidentiality of student-athlete medical records.
• Provide effective written and oral communication between student-athletes, coaches, sports performance staff, administrators, as well as, the multidisciplinary medical team regarding the status and progress of student-athletes.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant parties.
• Travel, evening and weekend work is expected, including off-season conditioning coverage.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to, DAPER, NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and Stanford Hospital and Clinics policies.

Sports Performance Internship
The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Sports Performance (DAPER) is currently accepting applications for its Sports Performance internship* for the summer/fall of 2019.
Stanford University is accepting applications for volunteer intern coaches to contribute to the Sports Performance program for the 2019 Summer & Fall Quarters. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to serve all 36 sports including Football and will have the opportunity to assist in all training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that provides experience assisting the staff to implement individualized, comprehensive, sport- specific injury prevention and performance enhancement programs. The internship includes a curriculum to learn and apply Stanford Sports Performance’s training philosophy. Also part of the curriculum includes strength & conditioning basics, educational presentations, structure & organization, progressions, weight room management/logistics, sport science technologies/concepts, communication with other support staff & coaches, along with informal discussions.
Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related course of study and CSCS or SCCC certification. Applicants must also have current CPR/AED certification. This internship is expected to begin no later than Monday, June 17th, 2019, and requires a 6-month time commitment with opportunities to continue pending positive evaluation. During this evaluation, interns will have the opportunity to compete and earn consideration for a paid intern position on the Sports Performance staff.
