STANFORD, Calif. – No. 10 Stanford men's tennis showed little rust from an 18-day break for final exams, cruising to a 7-0 shutout victory over San Francisco Wednesday at Taube Family Tennis Stadium for its seventh-straight win.

The Cardinal, which has not lost since Feb. 2, improved to 12-2 on the season. Stanford has not relinquished a point since Feb. 24, posting shutouts in its last three matches. Wednesday's shutout was its eighth of the season.

Stanford captured the doubles point over San Francisco (3-9) with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Axel Geller and Alexandre Rotsaert improved to 10-3 in dual play with their third consecutive win. The No. 43 ranked doubles team earned a 6-4 win at No. 1. Jack Barber and William Genesen extended their winning streak to four matches, while sealing the doubles point for the Cardinal with a 6-3 win at No. 2.

Sophomore Timothy Sah and junior William Genesen surrendered just three games in convincing wins at No. 6 and No. 2, respectively, to inch the Cardinal closer to the team win.

Freshman Sangeet Sridhar followed with the clincher, posting a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 5 for his third straight victory.

With the match in hand for the Cardinal, the teams played out the final three matches. Kumar won his sixth consecutive match, Rotsaert won his fifth straight and Genender won his second straight to complete the 7-0 shutout win.

Stanford now turns its focus to the Dick Gould Stanford/SoCal Challenge this weekend. The Cardinal will host No. 19 UCLA on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 12 USC on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
