PRINCETON, N.J. -- In its first dual of the spring season, No. 1 Stanford won both of its races against Princeton on Saturday at Lake Carnage.
Stanford's varsity eight earned the team's first victory, racing across the course with a time of 6:27.1, three seconds ahead of Princeton.
The Cardinal and the Tigers each raced two varsity four boats for their second matchup of the day. Stanford's varsity four A finished in 7:22.8 and its varsity four B finished in 7:34.3. Princeton's varsity four A completed the course in 7:26.1 and its varsity four B completed it in 7:54.4.
Stanford next travels to the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
