Pac-12 Championship Run Ends

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Stanford's season and Pac-12 Championship run ended Friday afternoon with a 3-1 loss to the No. 6 seed Arizona State in the contenders bracket. 
 
No. 5 seed Stanford's top three flights fought to keep the team alive after the four and five both dropped its matches against the Sun Devils to start. 
 
The No. 2 pairing, Morgan Hentz and Sunny Villapando, put the Cardinal's lone point on the board after winning in straight sets. Then down 2-1, Stanford needed to win both the one and three flights to advance.
 
Arizona State clinched the match, 3-1, with a win at the one.
