EUGENE, Ore. – No. 2 Stanford remained atop the Pac-12 conference standings and rolled to a convincing 5-0 win over Oregon on Sunday afternoon at Pape Field.

The Cardinal (12-1-0, 5-0-0 Pac-12) was held at bay by the Ducks (4-4-5, 0-3-2) for most of the first half but sprung to life with a pair of goals in the final five minutes of the period.

In the 41st minute, Smith and Haley orchestrated a Cardinal counter attack which resulted in Smith forcing a diving save. Greubel was quickest to the rebound, getting her boot on the ball and drawing an Oregon hand ball in the box. Macario stepped up to the penalty spot and smashed her 17th goal of the season into the net to make it 1-0.

Moments later, Smith doubled the lead with a dazzling solo effort. Smith collected a loose ball inside the Ducks' half and sped past multiple Oregon defenders before unleashing a perfectly-placed, left-footed shot into the top corner.  It was Smith's seventh of the season in just nine appearances – Smith needed 13 games to score seven in 2018.

In the 53rd minute, Macario secured her seventh multi-goal performance of the season to make it 3-0. Macario played a tidy one-two with Haley before placing her shot inside the far post from the 18-yard line. Macario and Haley produced another goal in the 65th minute with Haley doing the honors this time. Macario curled a low cross from the right wing into the path of Haley, who beat her defender to the ball and redirected her sixth goal of the season into the net.

Malatskey got on the scoresheet in the 75th minute to put a bow on the performance. Greubel picked out Tran on the right flank and Tran's cross met Malatskey at the six-yard line with the senior burying her eighth of the season.

No. 2 Stanford returns to the pitch on Saturday when it plays host to No. 22 UCLA at 7 p.m. PT. The game will air on Pac-12 Networks with live statistics available at GoStanford.com.
