BERKELEY, Calif. - Fueled by Corinne Zanolli's fourth hat trick of the season, No. 16 Stanford defeated California 3-2 in Berkeley to sweep the season series.

Zanolli's three first-half goals provided a 3-0 halftime lead for the Cardinal, which held off a late push by the Golden Bears.

Stanford (11-6, 3-0 America East) continued its dominance in the all-time rivalry series, having now won 15 of the last 17 meetings dating back to 2012.

Meanwhile, the Cardinal clinched the America East's West Division crown and a spot in the conference tournament when play begins in two weeks.

Following a breakthrough sophomore year in which she scored a single-season school-record 26 goals, Corinne Zanolli is on the verge of eclipsing that mark. Zanolli has now has accounted for 25 goals, regaining the national lead in scoring after producing the seventh hat trick of her career on Tuesday.

Zanolli was responsible for nine of Stanford's 10 shot attempts, matching California's total. The Cardinal owned a 9-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Kelsey Bing made three saves in goal, playing in her final game of the regular season as she shifts her focus to helping Team USA land a spot in the 2020 Olympic Games. Bing will miss Stanford's Nov. 1 Senior Night contest as she travels with Team USA to Bhubaneswar, India, for an FIH (International Hockey Federation) Olympic Qualifier. Both No. 13 USA and No. 9 India have one more chance to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and that spot will be decided on Nov. 1-2 at Kalinga Stadium.

Stanford is idle until that Nov. 1 contest against UC Davis.
