Chalk Talk With Morgan Hoang

STANFORD, Calif. – Morgan Hoang is a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas, and competes on vault, floor and beam. As a freshman, she competed in all 12 meets on floor and scored 9.850 or higher nine times, winning her first college title at Sacramento State. Hoang has always been active with youth organizations and was president of the Teens Assisting Special Kids club in high school.

Everyone has an app idea. What's yours?
An app that could use a phone's camera in order to get X-ray images on the spot. It could assist in diagnosing injuries quicker and it would be much less expensive than seeing a doctor.

Fun fact?
I like to communicate through GIFS when texting.

If you could win any award, what would it be and why?
The NCAA Championships, because winning with such a dedicated and hardworking team is such an indescribable feeling that lasts a lifetime.

Who inspires you and why?
My mom, because she continuously brings an abundance of joy to my life and strives to maintain a positive energy that radiates in all she does.



If you could add your name into the dictionary, what would it mean?
An impromptu dance party.

Which celebrity would you want to sit next to on a long flight any why?
Ellen Pompeo, because she plays the main character in my favorite television show, Grey's Anatomy.

What is your dream job and what makes it so amazing?
To own my own company that positively impacts communities and people around the world.
