David DeCastro • G • Pittsburgh Steelers • Eighth season

David DeCastro played all 77 offensive snaps of Pittsburgh's 27-14 win against Miami on Monday night and did not allow a quarterback pressure on 42 pass-blocking snaps. DeCastro, who also recovered a fumble, has not allowed a single quarterback hit on 266 pass-blocking snaps this season.

Hooper produced another rock-solid performance in Atlanta's 27-20 loss against Seattle on Sunday, catching his NFL tight end-leading fifth touchdown of the season. Hooper appeared on 88 percent of offensive snaps, catching six-of-seven targets for 65 yards. Hooper's 52 receptions pace tight ends and rank fifth among all NFL players while his 591 receiving yards rank 14th in the league and second among tight ends. According to Pro Football Focus, which ranks him seventh out 98 tight ends with an 82.2 season grade, Hooper has dropped just one of 53 catchable passes this season.

McCaffrey's MVP candidacy gained more steam despite Carolina falling, 51-13, at San Francisco on Sunday. McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 117 yards and one touchdown, a 40-yard scamper in the third quarter. Appearing on 78 percent of offensive snaps, McCaffrey also caught four-of-five targets for 38 yards. McCaffrey already ranks 10th in franchise history in receiving yards (1,861) and has caught 155 straight catchable passes, a run which includes the postseason and dates to Week 17 of his rookie season in 2017.

Reid broke up one pass and finished with five tackles in Houston's 27-24 win against Oakland on Sunday and was one of two Texan defenders to appear on all 56 snaps. Reid has not missed a tackle since Week 4, having appeared on 256 total defensive snaps since then.

Scarlett had his most productive game of the season in Houston's 27-24 win against Oakland, racking up a career-high eight tackles, five of which were solo, while appearing on a season-high 46 defensive snaps.

Sherman recorded his third interception of the season as San Francisco improved to 7-0 with a dominant 51-13 win over Carolina. Sherman finished with four tackles and allowed two catches on four targets for just nine yards while earning a 90.9 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus, the highest of any cornerback in Week 8. On the season, Sherman has been targeted 30 times, conceding just 16 catches for 143 yards. When targeting Sherman, quarterbacks own a 37.9 passer rating, second-lowest among corners who have appeared on at least 50 percent of his team's coverage snaps.
