STANFORD, Calif. – No. 4 Stanford recorded 12.0 blocks and hit .368 as a team in a 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 sweep over UCLA, Sunday, at Maples Pavilion.
 
The Cardinal improved to 20-4 overall, marking the 19th straight season it has registered 20 wins and the 39th overall. Stanford remains in first place in the Pac-12 Conference at 14-2 with four matches remaining.
 
Stanford limited UCLA (14-11, 9-7 Pac-12) to a .200 attack percentage, including .159 and .026 clips in the first and third sets, respectively.
 
The Cardinal applied service pressure to keep the Bruins out of system and finished with seven aces to just two errors. Junior Kate Formico finished with a career-high five aces, including three in a row in the second set.
 


Setter Jenna Gray guided the offense with 38 assists and added four digs, three blocks and two kills. Senior libero Morgan Hentz finished with 10 digs and two assists. She is just 13 digs away from breaking Gabi Ailes's school record for career digs (2,147).
 
Senior Kathryn Plummer led all players with 16 kills on .444 hitting, five digs and two blocks. Junior Meghan McClure added nine kills on a .421 attack percentage to go with a match-best 14 digs. The outside hitter also had two aces and a block. Senior opposite Audriana Fitzmorris chipped in with five kills and six blocks.
 
Sophomore middle blocker Holly Campbell was dialed in defensively from the start of the match. She had four blocks in the opening set and totaled a match-high seven to go with five kills. Madeleine Gates, who is a graduate transfer from UCLA, hit .500 with six kills on 12 errorless swings and had five blocks against her former team.
 
UCLA was led by redshirt freshman Lexi Hadrych's 12 kills. Junior Mac May had nine kills, nine digs and four blocks, including three solo for the Bruins.
 
Stanford hits the road next for a three-match swing, traveling to Utah on Friday, Colorado on Sunday and Washington State on Tuesday, Nov. 26. All three matches will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
