BOULDER, Colo. – A dominant performance from the service line led No. 4 Stanford to a 25-14, 25-5, 25-18 sweep over Colorado, Sunday, at the CU Event Center.
With its win over the Buffaloes, Stanford (22-4) clinched at least a share of its 19th Pac-12 championship with a 16-2 mark. The Cardinal has two opportunities to win the conference title outright, beginning Tuesday at Washington State.
Stanford hit .330 and registered a season-high 11 service aces, holding Colorado (12-16, 4-14 Pac-12) to a -.012 clip – the lowest by a Stanford opponent this season. The Cardinal limited the Buffaloes to just 16 kills in the match and finished with 10.0 blocks and 39 digs.
Stanford set a program record in the rally-scoring era for points scored by an opponent in a set as Colorado managed to put just five points on the board. The Cardinal registered a perfect 100 percent sideout rate in the set.
Senior Audriana Fitzmorris matched her season-high with a .615 attack percentage and led the team with nine kills. The opposite also tallied six blocks in the win. Senior Madeleine Gates added eight kills on .368 hitting and had a team-high seven blocks.
Senior Jenna Gray controlled the offense with 30 assists to go with nine digs, four kills and three aces. Senior libero Morgan Hentz finished with a match-high 12 digs and had three aces, while senior Kathryn Plummer finished with six kills, five digs and also had three aces.

Junior outside hitter Meghan McClure recorded seven kills, four digs, two blocks and an ace for the Cardinal, while middle blocker Holly Campbell added five kills on .375 hitting and two blocks. Colorado native Mackenzie Fidelak came off the bench in the third set and registered a kill on match point.
Colorado was led by Justine Spann who had six kills, seven digs and two blocks. Libero Rachel Whipple had a team-high 11 digs for the Buffaloes.
