Chalk Talk With Kelly Ramm

STANFORD, Calif. -- Freshman Kelly Ramm is a native of Newport Beach, Calif. and competes on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor. She still holds South Coast Swim League records for ages 5-6 in the butterfly relay and ages 7-8 in the medley and freestyle relays. Head of the School Honor Roll from 2016-18, Kelly worked as a camp counselor for special kids from 2014-18, was a member of the National Charity League, and is considering majoring in human biology or sports medicine.

Fun fact?
Both of my parents went to Cal.   

Who inspires you and why?
My cousin, Julia, because despite the adversity she faces, she is one of the happiest people I know.

Favorite song lyrics OR song that best describes you and why?
Home by Edward Sharp and the Magnificent Zeroes because it reminds me of going to summer camp with my family.

If you could sit next to a celebrity on a long flight, who would it be and why?
Rebel Wilson. She is extremely smart, has a great accent, and would make me laugh the whole flight.



Which Stanford student-athlete would you want to change places with for a day and why?
My friend Kendall from the women's volleyball team, so I could experience what it is like to be tall for a day.

Go-to order at a café or coffee house?
Iced Vanilla Latte.

What is your best childhood memory?
Being a part of our neighborhood swim team with my close friends for 12 years.

Favorite Netflix (Hulu, HBOnow, etc) show or movie?
Friends.
