We're In For Indoors

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 11 Stanford blanked No. 13 California 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium, capping a successful ITA Kick-Off Weekend.

Stanford (3-0) earned a spot in next month's ITA National Team Indoor Championships, scheduled for Feb. 13-17 in Madison, Wisconsin.

For the second straight day, Neel Rajesh provided the clincher, outlasting Ben Draper 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 5 position.

As expected, the rivalry match was much closer than the final outcome. After capturing the doubles point for a 1-0 lead, Stanford fought to hang on during a competitive singles battle, with four of the six matches reaching a third set.

The Cardinal was able to secure a pair of straight-set victories, extending its advantage to 3-0. After Sangeet Sridhar delivered a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3, Alexandre Rotsaert followed with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph at the No. 2 spot.

With all remaining matches in a deciding set, Rajesh was first off court with a 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory to make it official.

Stanford's homestand continues next weekend, with USC and UCLA visiting The Farm in non-counting Pac-12 matches.
