FARGO, N.D. – Real Woods secured a major decision and Shane Griffith extended his winning streak, but No. 13 Stanford fell 28-13 at North Dakota State, Saturday, at the Scheels Center.

Stanford (11-3) won four of the 10 bouts against North Dakota State (8-3), but gave up bonus points in four matches.

The dual started at 165 pounds, where Griffith secured a 5-0 decision over No. 11 Andrew Fogarty. Griffith scored a first-period takedown and was able to ride out Fogarty for the reminder of the period. He earned an escape in the second and was awarded a point for an illegal move by Fogarty. The redshirt freshman tacked on the riding time point in the win.

Ranked No. 3, Griffith remains undefeated at 25-0 on the season and 12-0 in duals. His 25-match winning streak is the second longest in program history.

Trailing the Bison 9-3, No. 7 Nathan Traxler cut into the lead with a 10-5 decision over Cordell Eaton at 197 pounds. Leading 3-2 after one, Traxler earned an escape to start the second and registered another takedown to go up 6-2. Eaton cut it to 6-5 with an escape and a takedown of his own in the third, but Traxler was able to get free and posted another takedown late in the period.

Traxler is now 19-3 overall and 8-2 in duals. He has 68 career wins – most on the team.

True freshman Jackson DiSario picked up an 8-3 decision over McGwire Midkiff at 125 pounds. Trailing 2-0 after one, DiSario was able to turn Midkiff for four near fall at the beginning of the second period. Leading 6-3 going into the final period, DiSario chose down to start the third. He scored a reversal and was able to ride out Midkiff for the win. He moves to 19-7 overall and 9-3 in duals.

Woods, who is ranked No. 3 in the nation at 141 pounds, turned in a dominating 10-1 major decision over Dylan Droegemueller. The Albuquerque native put up five points in the opening period and led 7-1 after two. He earned the escape to start the third and tacked on a stalling point and riding time in the win.

Woods has now won 13 consecutive matches and improved to 16-1 overall and 8-1 in duals.

Stanford is back in action on Sunday in Brookings, South Dakota as it faces No. 25 South Dakota State at 4 p.m. PT on Flowrestling.
