ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Stanford wrapped up competition at the Don Kirby Invitational on Friday, highlighted by several impressive performances.
This weekend's meet allowed Stanford to take advantage of the 5,300-foot altitude at the Albuquerque Convention Center, which is the host site of next month's NCAA Championships.

Julian Body produced two individual top-5 finishes, clocking in at 7.98 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish third and 47.45 in the 400 to place fourth. Body also was a member of the Cardinal's 4x400-meter relay team, joining Karson Lippert, Miles Zoltak and Nick Comly in finishing third with a time of 3:13.59.
Ashlan Best, who entered the meet ranked No. 18 in the country in the 400 with a time of 53.53, improved that mark with a 53.02 to place second behind UCLA's Shae Anderson (52.07).
The Cardinal also received top-10 finishes from Aria Small (12.79m in the triple jump to finish sixth), J.T. Herrscher (4.92m in the pole vault to take eighth) and Kaitlyn Merritt (4.01m in the pole vault to place ninth).

Ashlan Best produced a runner-up finish in the 200, highlighting Stanford's opening day of competition at the Don Kirby Invitational.
Best clocked in at 23.62, slightly behind the pace set by Arizona State's Josephine Anokye at 23.57.
Max McKhann also contributed a top-10 finish, finishing ninth in the 35-pound weight throw with a mark of 18.62m.
Laurel Wong nearly secured a top-10 finish in the pole vault, finishing with the third-best mark in the event at 3.86m.
Meanwhile, football All-American cornerback Paulson Adebo made his Cardinal track and field debut, checking in with a time of 51.44 in the 400.
