BERKELEY, Calif. – Competing at the Pac-12 Invitational from Berkeley, Calif. on Sunday, Stanford posted a team score of 406.600 to defeat California (397.650), Arizona State (389.200) and Washington (366.400).
Junior Andrew Bitner won the all-around with a career-best 81.200, including season-highs of 13.900 and 13.400 on floor and pommel horse, respectively.
Including Bitner's all-around crown, Stanford managed six event titles on Sunday.
Senior Connor Lewis took second overall on floor exercise, registering a 14.100, while Blake Wilson, who would win the high bar with a 13.200, matched Bitner's 13.900 to post a new career high. Competing collegiately for the first time on floor, Christopher Osgood managed a 13.500.
Osgood won his first collegiate event title on still rings, hitting for a career-high 14.400 to edge teammate Trevor DiGerolamo (season-best 14.350) for the top spot. The Cardinal would eventually score a season-high 69.250 on the event.
Senior Joey Ringer captured top honors on pommel horse, nailing down a season-high 13.800, while Bailey Perez managed a career-best 14.850 on vault to win that event and help the Cardinal to a 72.150 team score.
Sophomore Curran Phillips also showed well on vault, hitting for a career high-tying 14.650. The native of Naperville, Ill. would add an event title on parallel bars, compiling a career-high 14.800.
"For the most part the guys that had an opportunity to show what they can do— they did a good job," head coach Thom Glielmi said after the meet. "However, I don't think we showed our true depth tonight."
The Cardinal will now head to the Arizona State Invite on Saturday at 1 p.m. to meet ASU, Cal and Ohio.
