STANFORD, Calif. – No. 20 Stanford was back home on The Farm on Saturday, where it defeated Saint Mary's and No. 19 Arizona State to earn its first two wins of the season. The pairs of Ekstrom/Villapando, Ashkinos/Kriz and Dailey/Smith were undefeated on the day.
"I thought the team did an awesome job of sticking to their key focuses of reset, routine, their process, being really deliberate about each and every touch within the play," said head coach Andrew Fuller. "They didn't get too far in the past or too far in the future, and that's right where you want to be at your best. We're fortunate that at our best we were victorious today, but we're not going to get too stuck on the results, we want to keep hammering on what we worked on".
Stanford is back in action on Sunday when it hosts Utah and No. 5 Hawai'i.
