STANFORD, Calif. -- Eleven Stanford runners were named to the All-West Region team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, based on their placings at the NCAA regional cross country championship meet on Friday.

The Cardinal men and women captured regional team titles in Sacramento to qualify automatically to the NCAA Championships on Saturday in Tallahassee, Florida.
Individual winner Julia Heymach led a group of four Cardinal women in the top nine. Stanford scored 42 points to earn their second consecutive regional team victory.

Stanford's all-region women and their places: Heymach (first), Zofia Dudek (seventh), Lucy Jenks (eighth), Christina Aragon (ninth), and Audrey Suarez (17th).

The Stanford men placed six runners on the All-Region team: Charles Hicks (second), Ky Robinson (seventh), Devin Hart (12th), Cole Sprout (19th), Meika Beaudoin-Rousseau (21st), and DJ Principe (22nd).
