DENTON, Texas - Stanford took home first place against Texas Woman's University and the University of the Incarnate Word this weekend in Denton, Texas. The Cardinal scored a season-high 97 points to take the top spot, while TWU finished with 73 and UIW took home 91 points.
Lindi Schroeder led the way for Stanford, finishing second in the Tech A competition on Friday with a score of 77.7509. Stanford claimed four of the top five spots in the Tech A on Friday as Nicole Goot, Jacklyn Luu, and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian took third through fifth in that order.
Schroeder impressed once again in the solo competition, taking first place with a mark of 80.0667. The 2020 Olypmian continued her hot start to the season after winning the solo competition against Wheaton two weeks ago at the Avery Aquatic Center.
Jacklyn Luu and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian finished in second place in the duet, scoring a 76.9000 and Nicole Goot and Hailee Heinrich took home third with a mark of 76.6000. In the trio competition, Goot and Luu finished first and second, with marks of 76.9667 and 75.6667 respectively.
Schroeder took home first place in the Tech A competition on Saturday scoring a 77.4142. Nicole Goot, Jacklyn Luu, and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian once again finished in the top five as well, taking spots three through five in that order.
Stanford finished the meet with a victory in the team competition as well with a final score of 78.0667. This marked the Cardinal's first time competing in the team event this season.
The Cardinal will be back in action at the Jessica Beck Invitational at Ohio State next weekend.
