Protector
Denver offensive tackle Cameron Fleming played every offensive snap in the Broncos' 16-9 victory over the visiting Houston Texans. With Fleming's help, Denver gained 350 yards and averaged 5.4 yards per play in evening its record at 1-1. 

Comeback 
Tight end Zach Ertz had eight catches for 75 yards to help the Arizona Cardinals rally from a 20-point deficit to beat the Las Vegas Raiders in overtime, 29-23. Ertz was the game's leader in receptions and yards receiving. With the Cards down 20-0 in the third quarter, Ertz had receptions of 13 and 16 yards for first downs to keep alive the touchdown drive that sparked the comeback.

Debut
Houston defensive tackle Thomas Booker made his NFL debut Sunday, recording a solo tackle of Melvin Gordon after a five-yard third-quarter gain. Booker also had a QB hurry in the Texans' 16-9 loss at Denver. Booker played in 22 (31 percent) of Houston's defensive snaps.

Tacking machine
Indianapolis linebacker Bobby Okereke had 11 tackles, including nine solo, and a tackle for loss in the Colts' 27-0 loss at Jacksonville. He had five run stops, leading to a 79.1 defense grade, and 83.0 tackle grade by Pro Football Focus.

Dramatic win
Defensive tackle Solomon Thomas had five tackles, including a takedown of Nick Chubb for a four-yard loss, in the New York Jets' dramatic 31-30 victory over the host Cleveland Browns. 

Century 
Running back Christian McCaffrey gained a game-high 102 yards on 15 carries and caught four passes for 26 yards in Carolina's 19-16 loss to the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.

 Quick Hitters

  • Carolina defensive end Henry Anderson had three tackles, including two solo, with a quarterback hit, and two QB hurries in the Panthers' loss to the Giants. 
  • New England's Jake Bailey punted four times for a 41.5-yard average and kicked off four times, all for touchbacks, in the Patriots' 17-14 victory at Pittsburgh. 
  • Atlanta center Drew Dalman played every offensive snap in the Falcons' 31-27 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Dalman also recorded a tackle on an interception. 
  • In the Cowboys' 20-17 victory over Cincinnati, wide receiver Simi Fehoko played six offensive snaps and six special teams snaps. Dallas teammate Dalton Schultz had two catches at tight end for 18 yards, and Bengals' safety Michael Thomas played 19 (73 percent) special teams snaps. 
  • Tennessee tight end Austin Hooper had one reception for 19 yards in the Titans' 41-7 loss to host Buffalo.
  • Jacksonville offensive tackle Walker Little played four special teams snaps in the Jaguars' victory over the Colts.

  • Houston starting quarterback Davis Mills completed 19 of 38 passes for 177 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions, and was sacked three times in the Texans' loss in Denver. 
  • Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson played 29 percent of the Seahawks' offensive snaps and 35 percent of the special teams snaps in a 27-7 road loss to San Francisco.
  • New Orleans offensive guard Andrus Peat played every offensive snap in the Saints' 20-10 loss to visiting Tampa Bay. 
  • Minnesota starting defensive tackle Harrison Phillips had two tackles and half a sack in the Vikings' 24-7 loss at Philadelphia.
  • Kansas City starting safety Justin Reid had four tackles, including three solo, and a pass breakup in the Chiefs' 27-24 Thursday night victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

  • Washington defensive end Casey Toohill had a quarterback hit and played in 18 percent of the defensive snaps and 22 percent of the special teams snaps in the Commanders' 36-27 loss at Detroit before leaving the game with a concussion. 
  • New York Jets offensive guard Nate Herbig did not play. New Orleans cornerback Paulson Adebo was inactive. Seattle receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Atlanta tight end Tucker Fisk, Cincinnati receiver Trenton Irwin, and Chargers' offensive tackle Foster Sarell are on practice squads. New England running back Ty Montgomery and 49ers' linebacker Curtis Robinson are on injured reserve.
