STANFORD, Calif. (AP) -- Stanford opened the game with a 19-0 run and the Cardinal cruised to an 80-43 victory over Cal Poly on Friday night.

Max Murrell and Michael Jones topped Stanford with 15 points apiece, while Spencer Jones and Maxime Raynaud were also in double figures with 10 each. Harrison Ingram was one assist shy of tying his career high with eight assists, while Ryan Agarwal had a career-best eight points. The team shot 49 percent from the field, 48 percent from 3-point range and got off 16 more shots than Cal Poly. 11 difference Cardinal players had at least one field goal.

The Mustangs shot 28% from the floor, 26% from beyond the arc and were out-rebounded 42-25.

Stanford made 10 3-pointers in the first half, which was the most for the Cardinal in a half on record.  James Keefe scored the first five points for Stanford (2-2), Spencer Jones hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Michael Jones sank three free throws and a 3-pointer to put the Cardinal up 17-0. Michael O'Connell added a layup before Trevon Taylor got Cal Poly (1-2) on the scoreboard with a 3-pointer with 12:51 left in the half. The Cardinal later led 29-3 in the period, with Murrell hitting four 3-pointers from there to help Stanford take a 47-19 lead at intermission.

The Cardinal outscored Cal Poly in the second half, 33-24, helping head coach Jerod Haase claim his 100th win as head coach of the Stanford program.

Stanford returns to action on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, at the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Florida. The team opens the tournament against Ole Miss at 10:30 a.m. PT on ESPNU.
