ATLANTA – Adding to his growing list of accolades as he finishes up his senior season at Jesuit, Stanford signee Andrej Stojakovic, from the class of 2023, has been recognized as third team Jersey Mike's Naismith All-American, presented by the Naismith Awards and the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Stojakovic is Stanford's third signee to earn a Naismith All-America nod, as Harrison Ingram (2021) and Ziaire Williams (2020) were also third team selections in their senior high school seasons. Stojakovic is the only first, second or third team honoree from the state of California, while Stanford joins USC and Colorado with a top-15 selection. Oregon joins the trio with two honorable mention accolades.
There are four teams that have had a first, second or third team Naismith All-American in three of the last four seasons: Stanford, Duke, Kentucky and Texas.
In January, Stojakovic became the 10th recruit in program history to earn a spot on the McDonald's All-American game roster. The Cardinal will have a participant in the event for the third time in four years - the first time in program history to accomplish the feat over a four-year stretch. Stojakovic joins Harrison Ingram (2021), Ziaire Williams (2020), Reid Travis (2014), Brook and Robin Lopez (2006), Josh Childress (2001), Casey Jacobsen (1999) and Jarron and Jason Collins (1997) as Stanford McDonald's All-Americans.
The Sacramento-area native has been steadily rising through the recruiting rankings, currently slotting in at No. 16 from 247Sports, No. 21 from On3's industry rankings, No. 23 from ESPN and No. 30 from Rivals. He is a five-star recruit on the 247 composite rankings, and he is a top-four ranked player from the state of California and a top-four ranked small forward in the country.
Stojakovic signed his national letter of intent with Stanford in November.
