PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - Stanford continued its impressive run of performances at the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Cooper River Park, advancing all three boats to their respective Grand Final races on Sunday.
The Cardinal produced two first-place finishes and one runner-up, strengthening its chances to collect its first NCAA title since 2009.
Stanford's varsity eight recorded an impressive win to open the morning, clocking in at 6:10.993 in front of Washington (6:14.455), Yale (6:17.995), Michigan (6:19.119), Virginia (6:19.385) and Brown (6:30.941).
The second varsity eight followed with a victory and time of 6:16.634, defeating California (6:20.032), Yale (6:20.346), Michigan (6:25.934), Ohio State (6:26.830) and Penn (6:30.340).
