Swimmers and Divers Head to International Competitions

STANFORD, Calif. - Nine Cardinal will be suiting up in international competitions this summer, including six at the FINA World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, starting on July 14. Stanford will also be represented at the World University Games, LEN 23U Championships, the World Junior Championships, and the Asian Games.

Jack Ryan (USA) will be competing in diving at the World Championships alongside Stanford coach Patrick Jeffrey, who was appointed to the USA Diving World Championships coaching staff. Swimmers Ron Polonsky (Israel), Hayden Kwan (Hong Kong), Andres Dupont (Mexico), Jonathan Tan (Singapore), and Henry McFadden (USA) will also be competing in Fukuoka.

Zhier Fan (USA) and Hayden Kwan (Hong Kong) are both set to compete in the World University Games in Chengdu, China. Rex Maurer (USA) will be suiting up for the United States  in the LEN (European Swimming Federation) U23 Championships, held August 11-13 in Dublin. 

Incoming freshman Ethan Harrington (USA) will also be representing the United States at the World Juniors in Netanya, Israel, September 4-9. Hayden Kwan (Hong Kong) and Jonathan Tan (Singapore) will both be competing at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8.
