STANFORD, Calif. - The Cardinal's 2023 fall schedule is set and will feature multiple big regattas during the first half of the school year.
Stanford begins the campagin with the PCCSC Men's and Women's Singlehanded Championships. Chapman Petersen, the 2022 ICSA Men's Singlehanded Champion will look to start his 2023 season with a conference title while Grace Austin will lead the Cardinal in the women's division.
The Cardinal will compete on the road plenty during the month of October, heading east to take part in the Danmark Tropy, the Women's ACC first round and finals, the Stu Nelson Trophy, and the Open ACC first round and finals.
The match racing portion of the fall will kick off in mid-October at the PCCSC Match Race Championships before the ICSA Match Race National Championships take place in South Carolina in early November.
Stanford closes out October with two regattas at home during the weekend of October 28-29, hosting the Top-9 Invite and the PCCSC Fall Women's Championships. In November, the Cardinal will head to the PCCSC Fall Open Championships in Santa Barbara and the ICSA Singlehanded Championships in New Orleans, where Petersen will look to repeat as the ICSA Men's Singlehanded Champion.
The fall season concludes on Tuesday, November 14 at the Big Sail, taking place at the St. Francis Yacht Club. The event will feature races between current sailors and alumni from both Stanford and California.
