Stanford in the NFL: Week 11

DALTON SCHULTZ was a force for the surprising Houston Texans, Bobby Okereke forced two fumbles, Christian McCaffrey returned to the end zone, and Davis Mills became the 28th Stanford alum to play in an NFL regular season game this year. Those were among the highlights by former Cardinal in the NFL's Week 11.

New York Giants starting inside linebacker Bobby Okereke forced two fumbles in a 31-19 victory at Washington on Sunday. Okereke had 14 tackles, including six solo, while playing all 81 defensive snaps for the Giants. Okereke is third in the league in solo tackles, with 56, and fifth in total tackles, with 105. Okereke has the 10th-best season Pro Football Focus coverage grade among linebackers, at 82.3.

Washington starting defensive end Casey Toohill sacked Giants' quarterback Tommy DeVito for a seven-yard third-quarter loss and had a quarterback hurry among his 46 defensive plays.

San Francisco starting running back Christian McCaffrey began a new touchdown streak when he caught a four-yard pass from Brock Purdy for a touchdown to open the scoring in a 27-14 victory over visiting Tampa Bay. McCaffrey has scored in 18 of his last 19 games. McCaffrey rushed 21 times for 78 yards and caught five passes for 25. He played 52 (87 percent) of the 49ers' offensive snaps as the 49ers took the solo lead in the NFC West at 7-3.

McCaffrey maintained his NFL rushing lead, with 825 yards, and took the solo lead in touchdowns, with 14. He is second in points, with 84.

Houston starting tight end Dalton Schultz caught a 20-yard touchdown pass down the middle from C.J. Stroud to pull the Texans even in the first quarter of 21-16 victory over visiting Arizona. Schultz caught two passes for 32 yards, including a 12-yarder with 34 seconds left in the first half that set up a touchdown on the next play. Schultz played 57 (85 percent) offensive snaps. He is tied for 12th in catches by a tight end, with 39 for an improved team that is 6-4 and in second in the AFC South. Schultz had the seventh-highest receiving grade among tight ends for Week 11, at 74.5 by Pro Football Focus.

Houston quarterback Davis Mills saw action for the first time this season, replacing an injured Stroud for one play in the third quarter. Mills completed a pass to Devin Singletary for two yards and became the 28th Stanford alum to play in the NFL this regular season.

Arizona tight end Elijah Higgins had a catch for two yards. He another had an apparent catch for 20, but Houston challenged the completion and the play was reversed. Higgins was in on nine offensive plays and five on special teams.

Miami starting punter Jake Bailey averaged 47.7 yards on three punts in the Dolphins' 20-13 victory over visiting Las Vegas. Bailey had a long of 66 and had two punts inside the 20, with one fair caught at the 7 with 1:58 left in the game. Bailey also was the holder on two successful field goals and two extra-point conversions as the Dolphins improved to 7-3 and remain atop the AFC East. Raiders' tight end Austin Hooper played 29 offensive snaps.

Cincinnati starting receiver Trenton Irwin had three catches for 36 yards in the Bengals' 34-20 loss at Baltimore on Thursday night. All three receptions resulted in first downs. Irwin played 58 (95 percent) of Cincinnati's offensive snaps.

Kansas City safety Justin Reid had seven tackles, all solo, and a tackle for loss in the Chiefs' 21-17 loss to visiting Philadelphia on Monday night. Reid played 55 (98 percent) defensive snaps and four on special teams.

Jacksonville starting left offensive guard Walker Little played 52 offensive snaps and six on special teams in the Jaguars' 34-14 victory over visiting Tennessee. 

Minnesota starting defensive tackle Harrison Phillips had three tackles, including a tackle for loss, in the Vikings' 21-20 loss at Denver. Phillips played 40 defensive snaps. 

New York Jets defensive lineman Solomon Thomas had a solo tackle in a 32-6 loss at Buffalo. Thomas, who played 24 defensive snaps and eight on special teams, had a sack nullified by penalty in the secondary.

Pittsburgh offensive guard Nate Herbig played two special teams snaps in the Steelers' 13-10 loss at Cleveland.

Los Angeles Chargers receiver Simi Fehoko was in on one offensive play and five on special teams in a 23-20 loss at Green Bay. Teammate Foster Sarell, a Chargers' offensive tackle, played four special teams snaps. 

Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson played 23 offensive plays and four on special teams in a 17-16 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Denver offensive tackle Cameron Fleming did not play.

Atlanta (center Drew Dalman, tight end Tucker Fisk), New England (receiver Ty Montgomery), and New Orleans (cornerback Paulson Adebo, offensive tackle Andrus Peat) had byes. 

Green Bay cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly, Philadelphia quarterback Tanner McKee, and Arizona receiver Michael Wilson were inactive. 

Miami cornerback Ethan Bonner, Philadelphia defensive lineman Thomas Booker, San Francisco linebacker Curtis Robinson, Cincinnati safety Michael Thomas, Washington receiver Brycen Tremayne, and Chicago defensive back Kendall Williamson were on practice squads. 

Carolina defensive end Henry Anderson and Arizona tight end Zach Ertz were on injured reserve.
