STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's basketball emerged from a two-week hiatus for finals on a winning note, downing Idaho on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion, 82-64.

Andrej Stojakovic paced four players in double figures with 17 points, making seven of 11 from the field with a trio of 3-pointers. Michael Jones scored 14 points to go with seven rebounds while Maxime Raynaud tallied his second double-double of the campaign with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Kanaan Carlyle scored 11 points in his Cardinal debut off the bench. Stanford shot 56.4 percent from the floor – it's highest of the season – and 43.5 percent from 3-point range, eclipsing the 40-percent plateau for the fourth time.

Stanford has won the game after its finals break in each of the last 16 seasons dating back to 2006, including a 7-0 mark under Jerod Haase with six double-digit victories.

The Cardinal led wire to wire after the opening basket of the game, immediately jumping out to a 9-2 lead after baskets from Jared Bynum, Raynaud and Jones. The Cardinal had three separate 9-0 runs over the first 20 minutes and led by 19 at the half, 41-22.

Stanford led by double digits for the entirety of the second half, with the Vandals (6-5) getting no closer than 11 points away. Stojakovic scored nine of his 17 points over the second half, and the Cardinal improved to 5-1 this season at Maples Pavilion.

With just one non-conference game remaining until Pac-12 competition begins, Stanford treks to San Diego State on Thursday, Dec. 21 for a 6 p.m. tip on CBS Sports Network.
