SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Stanford lightweight rowing completed its first regatta of the 2023 season with a third place finish in the USCD Health Cal Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic April 1-2.
The Cardinal kicked things off with a second place finish of 07:07.141 in the preliminary heats to advance to the Sunday Grand Finals.
Stanford faced San Diego, MIT, UC San Diego and Loyola Marymount in the final race. The Cardinal finished third overall with a time of 07:09.452, 3.9 seconds behind first.
The Cardinal are out on the East Coast next for the Class of 2015 Princeton Dual on April 15.
