STANFORD, Calif. - The Cardinal earned its second-consecutive win to start the season over the weekend, topping a three team field. Stanford scored 100 points in the meet ahead of Incarnate Word's 88 and UCLA's 41.

"I'm proud of our team's swims this weekend, and we can already see the improvement from week to week," said head coach Megan Abarca. "We knew this season would challenge the athletes to train and compete so differently than in seasons past, and they are doing a great job adapting! We've got one more weekend of competition ahead and we're excited to have another opportunity to improve our performances at Ohio State!"

Stanford put together a strong showing across the board, claiming a win in each event.

Beginning in the technical A event on Friday, nine of the top 10 finishers were Stanford swimmers, led by Yara Elian in first with 81.6541 points. She was closely followed by Nicole Goot and Lindi Schroeder to round out the top three.

Elisa Brunel and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian took fourth and fifth in the event, while Miko Begossi, Ella Rau, Ivy Davis, and Emily Ding finished in seventh through 10th place.

Saturday and Sunday featured the remaining events of the meet. Lindi Schroeder led the way in the solo, scoring 241.2292 points on her way to the event title.

Elian grabbed her second title of the weekend in the duet, teaming up with Ella Rau in the event. The pair scored 286.2958 points to earn first place.

Not far behind was the pair of Miko Begossi and Ivy Davis who took first place last weekend at Texas Woman's. The sophomore duo finished with 246.7042 to take second place out of six total competitors in the event.

The trio saw Elian secure her third title and Schroeder her second as they teamed up with Elisa Brunel to finish atop the field with a score of 271.6542. Stanford also added a third place finish in the trio as well with Begossi, Davis, and Tchakmakjian tallied 218.6583 points.

In the team event, Stanford again took the top spot, as Begossi, Brunel, Davis, Elian, Goot, Rau Schroeder, and Tchakmakjian combined to score 356.7167 points. The win marked Elian's fourth title of the meet, claiming a win in each event except for the solo.

Stanford also took bronze in the team event as Yujin Chang, Emily Ding, Natalie Greenfield, Cambell McMillan, Atira O'Neil, and Manu Pindi scored 304.7000 points.

The Cardinal returns to action next weekend at the Jessica Beck Invitational at Ohio State.
