Card Wraps Strong Showing in Northwestern Duals

EVANSTON, Ill. - Stanford's women's and men's fencing teams finished strong showings at the two-day Northwestern Duals, going 9-2 and 5-3, respectively.

The women's team finished with two wins over ranked teams in No. 13 Ohio State and No. 9 Temple. The squad's only two losses came to No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 7 Cornell. The men's team finished 5-3, including a 3-1 record on day two. 

Irene Yeu led the way for the women, going 23-6 across both days. The two-time All American went 15-3 on Saturday. Sanjay Kasi went 16-5 on the men's team, while Alexander Jeon went 16-8.
