EIGHT STANFORD RUNNERS were named All-Academic for cross country by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
To qualify for the honor, runners must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top 25 (or 10 percent) at regionals or in the top 40 (All-American) at the NCAA Championships.
Five Stanford women accomplished the feat: Pac-12 champion Amy Bunnage, Grace Connolly, Zofia Dudek, Lucy Jenks, and Sophia Kennedy.
Three Stanford men were recognized: Pac-12 champion Ky Robinson, Robert DiDonato, and Cole Sprout.
Robinson placed third at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, earning All-America honors, and won the NCAA West Regional in Sacramento. Stanford swept the men's and women's regional team titles.
Each team also earned Team All-Academic honors, with the women earning a combined grade-point average of 3.755 and the men were at 3.607.
