BOULDER, Colo. – Ky Robinson completed a long-distance double Sunday at the Pac-12 Track and Field Championships to become the first Stanford runner to sweep the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the conference championships since 2010.
On the final day of the final Pac-12 Track and Field Championships, Robinson's victory in the men's 5,000 and a women's 800 title by Roisin Willis gave Stanford four event victories overall at University of Colorado's Potts Field.
The Stanford women placed sixth as a team with 60 points and the Cardinal men were 10th with 34.
Willis, the 2023 NCAA Indoor 800 champ, captured her first Pac-12 title, running away from the field to finish in 2:01.00.
Robinson added to the 10,000 title he won on Friday by leading from start to finish in the 5,000, crossing the line in 14:11.49. Chris Derrick was the last Stanford runner to win both events at conference, in his case the Pac-10.
Alyssa Jones was Stanford's first champion this year's Pac-12 meet, winning the women's long jump on Friday.

Willis, a sophomore, opened with a 59.05 lap and closed with a 1:01.96. Utah's Josefine Eriksen started to gain on the homestretch, but Willis maintained her pace and was able to extend her lead to the finish. It marked back-to-back Stanford victories in that event, following Juliette Whittaker's triumph in 2023 while Willis ran the 1,500. Before that, no Stanford women ever won the 800 at the Pac-12 meet.
This year, those events were reversed. Whittaker, also a sophomore, ran the 1,500 and placed third in 4:17.47.
Robinson won the 10,000 by 25 seconds. On Sunday, he won the 5,000 by six seconds, in 14:11.49, but kept a lot in reserve while waiting for a surge from any opponent that never came. Robinson reeled off lap after lap of 68 seconds before cruising in with final lap of 1:04.63.
In the women's 5,000, Stanford's Amy Bunnage led until the final 800 when Colorado's Bailey Hertenstein made a move on her way to a 5,000-10,000 double of her own. Bunnage placed third in 16:22.73 and fellow freshman Sophia Kennedy was fourth in 16:34.88.
Cydney Wright competed in two sprint finals, placing fifth in the 400 in 52.54 and eighth in the 200 in 24.93.
Stanford next competes at the NCAA West Prelims, May 22-25 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The top 48 advance in individual events and 24 on relays advance. The top 24 in the country in the multi-events advance to the NCAA final.
The list of qualifying athletes will be released on Thursday on NCAA.org. From Fayetteville, the top 12 advance to the NCAA Championships June 5-8 in Eugene, Oregon.
