Stanford Set to Compete in Inaugural NB3 Match Play at Twin Warriors

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's and women's golf will compete in the inaugural 2024 NB3 Match Play at Twin Warriors event on October 8-9, as announced by hosts Pueblo of Santa Ana and Stanford men's golf alum Notah Begay III on Thursday afternoon.

Competition will be aired on Golf Channel and Peacock, with coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. PST on October 8th and 2:30 p.m. PST on October 9th. Participating teams include New Mexico, New Mexico State, and Texas.

"We're thrilled to partner with our friend and colleague Notah Begay III to showcase the inaugural NB3 Collegiate Match Play at Twin Warriors live on GOLF Channel and Peacock," said Andrea Starkey, VP, Golf Partnerships and Rights Management, NBC Sports. "GOLF Channel is committed to the growth of college golf and we're excited to add the NB3 Match Play to our robust slate of college golf programming."

The event will be played in a round-robin match play format, as the Cardinal will compete against each of the other three participating schools. A total of five points will be available in each match where winners on both the men's and women's sides will be determined by total points won. There will also be an overall University champion to be crowned by their cumulative point totals between the two programs.

Highlighting a strong competition field, Stanford women's golf will enter the event as the reigning national champion while both the Stanford and Texas men's program have claimed NCAA titles in the past five years.

Admission to the event is free with an autograph event available to high school and junior golfers to meet some of the finest collegiate golfers in the country. All proceeds from the event will be directed towards to Notah Begay III Foundation to benefit Native American youth.
