STANFORD, Calif. - A mainstay in the upper echelon of NCAA women's swimming and diving, Stanford once again found success during the 2023-24 campaign in Paul A. Violich Director of Women's Swimming Greg Meehan's 12th season at the helm.
The Cardinal was ranked in the top-10 of the CSCAA rankings for the entirety of the season, culminating in a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships in Athens, Georgia.
THE STREAK CONTINUES
Stanford continued its run as the only program in the nation to finish in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships in every season, a streak that dates back to the 1974-1975 season. Stanford has collected 12 national championships and 44 top-5 finishes in that span.
In 2024, it was more of the same from the Cardinal as it closed out the NCAA meet with 250 points, finishing behind only national champion Virginia, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.
Aurora Roghair was Stanford's highest finisher of the weekend, posting a new career-best in the 1650 free to finish runner-up in the event. Meanwhile, Lucy Bell would finish third in the 400 IM for the highest NCAA finish of her career, while the 800 free quartet of Roghair, Natalie Mannion, Lillie Nordmann, and Kayla Wilson would also claim bronze.

HUSKE HEADS TO PARIS
Stanford junior Torri Huske qualified for her second Olympic Games in late June, locking in her spot in the 100 fly and 100 free at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in Indianapolis.
Huske extended a nearly 50-year streak of Stanford women's swimming and diving sending at least one athlete to the Olympic Games in each cycle since 1976. Huske led a group of 13 current Stanford student-athletes who posted 17 new lifetime bests and advanced beyond the prelims 22 times at the Olympic Trials.

Decorated in her career as a student-athlete for Stanford, Williams led Stanford to three consecutive NCAA and Pac-12 Championships from 2017-19, including being named team captain of the 2019 title-winning squad. Individually, Williams was a member of two national championship 400 medley relay teams and won another NCAA title in the 200 medley relay, garnering a total of six NCAA All-America honors in her career.
Williams joins the Cardinal staff after one season with California where she helped lead the Golden Bears to their sixth Pac-12 title in program history. Prior to her time in Berkeley, Williams spent a season as a volunteer assistant at Northwestern under the tutelage of current Stanford associate head coach Katie Robinson.
STANFORD SIGNS SEVEN
Stanford will welcome seven new student-athletes set to arrive on The Farm for the 2024-25 season, as Lila Heffernan, Anna Lemkin, Bailey O'Regan, Annika Parkhe, Addision Sauickie, Levenia Sim, and Emily Thompson represent the latest Cardinal signing class.
"We are thrilled to have these seven amazing young women join the Stanford Women's Swimming & Diving program," said Meehan, Paul A. Violich Director of Women's Swimming and Diving. "This is a talented and athletic group that competes in everything from spring events to IM to distance to diving. More importantly, this group shares the common bonds of curiosity and wanting to make an impact on something greater than themselves. Stanford is the perfect climate to fuel them in and out of the pool, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish here on The Farm."
