Stanford Survives for Intercollegiate Win

The final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice, was full of drama. Third-ranked Stanford women’s golf entered the day with a four-stroke lead over USC but eventually trailed by four strokes on the back nine.

The Cardinal overcame that deficit, pulled ahead with one hole to go, and then settled for a tie with the Trojans atop the leaderboard. Due to the tiebreaker of the combined overall drop scores, Stanford emerged with the trophy and the tournament win.
