- The final fall tournament of the 2024-25 season gets underway this week for the top-ranked Stanford women’s golf team. The Cardinal takes part in the Nanea Invitational in Hawaii.
- Stanford is back to the top of the most recent Clippd rankings, by Scoreboard. Stanford is the only team in the country to remain unbeaten heading into the final days of October, carrying a head-to-head record of 34-0-1.
- Last week at the Stanford Intercollegiate, the Cardinal finished tied atop the leaderboard with USC after Stanford caught USC in the final holes. Thanks to the tiebreaker, Stanford was awarded the championship, its third in the last four years.
- Three Cardinal finished in the top 10 last week, and two more finished inside the top 20. Megha Ganne was the team’s highest finisher, landing in a tie for third. Leigh Chien and Meja Ortengren finished tied for fifth.
- Following the Nanea Invitational, the Cardinal will not be in competition again until February. There are three team tournaments and one match play scheduled prior to the ACC Championship in April.
- Going back to the 2024 postseason, Stanford has won five consecutive tournaments.
- Stanford’s lineup for the Nanea Invitational is: Megha Ganne, Leigh Chien, Paula Martin Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, and Meja Ortengren. Caroline Sturdza, Nora Sundberg and Kelly Xu will all be competing individually.
