Artistic Swimming is one of only seven programs within Stanford Athletics to have won at least 10 national championships.
Stanford has won 11 U.S. Collegiate National Championships, most recently in 2026 under head coach Elvira Khasyanova to repeat as national champs.
Stanford claimed four straight national titles from 2005-08 under Heather Olson, one of six different head coaches to lead the Cardinal to a national crown.
In 2008, Stanford became the first collegiate team to win a share of the U.S. National Championship.
The Cardinal has also produced 50 individual national champions, topping out with four event winners on three different occasions (2021, 2007, 2005).
The program dominance has extended outside the collegiate arena, highlighted by 11 Olympians in school history. Of those 11 Olympians, six have won medals, highlighted by Heather Pease's gold in the team competition in 1996.
Thanks in large part to alumni support, Stanford is one of the most competitive artistic swimming programs in the nation, with a reputation for developing the highest quality scholar-athletes, who excel both in the pool and in life.
