THE RUNDOWN: The Cardinal is coming off an 89-58 win over Gonzaga in the first game on Tara VanDerveer Court ... VS. UC DAVIS: Stanford is 17-7 all-time against UC Davis and 14-1 on The Farm. All seven of the Cardinal’s losses in the series came in its early years, as the Aggies won seven of the first eight from 1974-78. Since Davis’ last win on Feb. 7, 1978, Stanford has won 16 straight. In the teams’ last meeting on Dec. 20, 2023, six players scored in double figures and Hannah Jump became Stanford’s career 3-point leader when she hit from deep in the first quarter of a 92-52 Stanford win. The 40-point margin of victory was the Cardinal’s largest against UC Davis since an 87-38 road win on Nov. 30, 2012.

- Stanford has been incredible from 3-point range to start the season. One game after hitting a school-record 18 3-pointers against Le Moyne, the Cardinal went 14-of-20 (.700) in a win over Washington State and knocked down another 13 against Gonzaga on Sunday.
- Stanford has combined to shoot 57.7 percent from deep (45-of-78) in its first three games. Ten different players have hit a 3-pointer and there are five who had made at least four.
- The Cardinal leads the nation in 3-point percentage and is second in 3-pointers per game (15.0) to Stephen F. Austin (18.0).
- Individually, Chloe Clardy is 32nd in the country in 3-point percentage (.700; 7-of-10) and Jzaniya Harriel is 36th (.688; 11-of-16). As a freshman last season, Clardy went just 2-of-20 (.100) from behind the arc.
- It’s the first time the Cardinal has made 10+ 3-pointers in three consecutive games since the first three games of the 2022-23 season against San Diego State (11), CSUN (11) and Pacific (12). Stanford hasn’t had four straight games with 10+ 3-pointers since the Pac-12 and NCAA Tournaments in March 2021 against UCLA (10), Utah Valley (15), Oklahoma State (13) and Missouri State (15).
- Against Washington State and in available records dating to 2002-03, Stanford’s 3-point percentage (.700) was its best when attempting at least 20, eclipsing a 13-of-20 (.650) effort at Washington State on Jan. 2, 2004. The Cardinal became the 15th DI team to hit at least 70.0 percent on 20+ attempts over the last 23 seasons, and first since South Dakota went 19-of-27 (.704) in a win over Midland Lutheran on Nov. 7, 2022. A team hadn’t done it against a DI opponent since Valparaiso at Southern Illinois on Feb. 27, 2021. Valpo was 15-of-20 (.750).

- Prior to Sunday’s win over Gonzaga, Stanford officially unveiled Tara VanDerveer Court.
- In a move that underscores the indelible mark she left on the university and college athletics, Stanford announced in early May that the court at Maples Pavilion, on which her women’s basketball teams won 531 games, would be named in honor of the recently retired, NCAA’s all-time winningest coach.
