AUSTIN, Texas - Day two at the Texas Swimming Invitational saw yet another "Stanford Top-10" performance, as the No. 4 Cardinal collected three more event titles on Thursday evening.
Stanford opened Thursday's finals session with a second-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay, as Levenia Sim, Lucy Thomas, Torri Huske, and Gigi Johnson swam a 1:34.61 to meet the NCAA "A" Standard.
In the 400 IM, Bricker bested her previous PB by over two seconds with a 3:59.88 to claim the event title and climb to sixth all-time in the "Stanford Top 10" for that event. Bricker was the only swimmer in the finals to post an NCAA "A"-cut time in the event.
Lucy Bell finished second in the 400 IM "A" final with a 4:03.86, while Emily Thompson (4th; 4:08.61) and Samantha Tadder (8th; 4:10.98) rounded out the top eight.
The "A" cuts continued with Huske in the 100 fly, as the junior clocked a 49.24 to take the event title. Johnson finished fourth with a 51.68, while Annika Parkhe and Lillie Nordmann would place 5th and 7th, respectively.
The 200 Free "A" final saw three Cardinal finish in the top eight, with Kayla Wilson finishing third with a 1:43.33 to lead the way, while Roghair (1:43.89) came in fourth and Mannion (1:46.53) finished eighth.
Stanford's lone finalist in the 100 breast Lucy Thomas earned a share of second in the "A" final, clocking a 59.06 to tie Texas' Abigail Arens.
In the 100 Back final, the freshman tandem of Levenia Sim (52.47) and Annika Parkhe (52.56) highlighted the Stanford contingent by placing sixth and seventh in the feature race.
Action conlcudes tomorrow with the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 1650 Free, and 400 Free Relay to wrap up the Texas Swimming Invitational.
