With three individual champions, Stanford captured the team title at the 60th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, Monday, at NOW Arena.

The Cardinal scored 157.0 points for its first Midlands team title in program history. Rutgers (147.0) was second, while Penn (131.0) rounded out the top 3.

In the NFL regular season that ended Sunday, 32 Stanford alums were on NFL rosters, 31 saw action (three more than 2023), and 23 started at least one game (two more than last year). Four alums made their NFL debuts and 17 are on rosters of playoff teams (seven more than last year).

Here is the position breakdown of the 31 who played in the 2024 season: six tight ends, five defensive backs, five offensive linemen, four defensive linemen, four receivers, two quarterbacks, two linebackers, one kicker, one punter, and one running back.

Cardinal Competes in CGA All-Star

                 

Four Cardinal gymnasts gave a sneak preview of the upcoming 2025 campaign at the third annual Collegiate Gymnastics Association (CGA) All-Star meet on Friday evening.

In its third edition of the event since beginning in 2022, the CGA All-Star meet highlights the best gymnasts in the nation as they compete against each other by splitting into two squads, the East and the West.

Eight Stanford football standouts were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced on Tuesday morning. 

Elic Ayomanor, Tiger BachmeierEmmet KenneyAidan FlintoftCollin WrightScotty EdwardsMitch Leigber, and Sam Roush earned Academic All-District status. Schools are permitted eight Academic All-District selections based on a number of criteria, including sophomore status both athletically and academically, with at least a 3.50 grade point average.
