STANFORD, Calif. — Following its debut in the Atlantic Coast Conference, 17 members of the Stanford field hockey team earned nods for their off the field accomplishments, garnering All-Academic honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Stanford’s 17 honorees were the fourth-most among programs behind Wake Forest (19), Louisville and Duke (18). Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
