STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford’s Annabel Frist and Aliya Polisky continue to garner preseason recognition having earned Nike Lacrosse Preseason Women’s DI Media All-America honors, InsideLacrosse.com announced Monday.
A native of Franklin, Tenn., Polisky claims her second preseason All-America honor heading into her sophomore year, nabbing a Second Team selection. Last season, she was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and was a First Team All-Pac-12 selection en route to also earning USA Lacrosse and ILWomen Media All-America honors.
Polisky enters the 2025 campaign as Stanford’s reigning scoring champion having led the Cardinal in both goals (53) and points (71) in her inaugural season on The Farm. Her exceptional freshman year sits tied for fourth in program history in single-season goals and 11th in single-season points.
Frist gathers her second preseason All-America honor in anticipation of her senior season on The Farm, being tabbed to the Third Team. A two-time Pac-12 Draw Specialist of the Year, Frist holds the top two single-season marks for draw controls, totalling 138 in 2023 and 126 in 2024. She currently sits second in program history in career draw controls (318) behind Genesis Lucero (2016-21) who totalled 372.
Also a native of the Volunteer State, Frist heads into 2025 with two career 50-plus goal seasons and is tied for the single-game goal record having potted eight against UAlbany on March 12, 2023. Defensively, she is 12th in program history in career caused turnovers with 48, averaging 16 caused turnovers per season in her first three years.
No. 20 Stanford begins the 2025 campaign this weekend, traveling down to Los Angeles, Calif., to take on No. 22 USC at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Opening draw is slated for 1 p.m.
