Jones won the women’s long jump with identical jumps of 21-5 ½ (6.54 meters) on Friday at Wake Forest University’s Kentner Stadium to complete a sweep of the ACC indoor and outdoor long-jump titles.

Jimmy Nati Home Run Celebration

Stanford Claims Road Series Over No. 13 NC State

Game 2:

Knotted at three runs apiece in the 10th inning, Stanford (26-24, 10-19 ACC) earned a 4-3 victory at No. 13 NC State (33-17, 17-10 ACC) on a Jimmy Nati RBI-double to bring home Charlie Bates, as the Cardinal evened a three-game ACC series from Doak Field.

Bates led off the top of the 10th with a single the other way off NC State reliever Jacob Dudan. A sacrifice bunt from Tatum Marsh moved Bates into scoring position, setting the table for a hot-shot from Nati to shortstop that skipped off the glove of Justin DeCriscio and trickled into left field, allowing Bates to turn the bag and score what proved to be the game-winning run.

Game 3:

Deciding a three-game ACC series on Saturday from Doak Field, Stanford (27-24, 11-19 ACC) defeated No. 13 NC State (33-18, 17-11 ACC) by a score of 6-3 to conclude the regular season ahead of Tuesday’s ACC Championship Tournament.

The victory was No. 800 in Stanford's Clarke and Elizabeth Nelson Director of Baseball David Esquer’s career.

Stanford pieced together the nine innings on the mound Saturday, using eight pitchers along the way. Freshman Parker Warner got the start and contributed the first inning before Austin Steeves worked a scoreless second. Liam Golden surrendered two runs in the third inning, but Kassius ThomasSam GarewalBen ReimersRyan Speshyock and Ty Uber combined to pitch the final six scoreless innings, allowing five hits, to secure the victory.

Taking the court for the 21st time in program history in the Final Four, Wake Forest outlasted the Cardinal to take the doubles point. Nico Godsick and Hudson Rivera scored a win on court one, 6-3, over the nation’s 53rd-ranked pair, but the Demon Deacons added wins on courts two and three to claim the early advantage.

Chris Lindauer Named Paul A. Violich Director of Women's Swimming

Chris Lindauer has been named Paul A. Violich Director of Women’s Swimming, as announced by interim athletics director and chief operating officer Alden Mitchell on Thursday afternoon.

Lindauer becomes the eighth head coach in program history, taking the helm of the NCAA’s most decorated women’s swimming & diving program, which boasts 12 national titles and 25 conference championships.

Stanford remains the only women’s swimming and diving program to never finish outside the top-10 at a national championship meet.

“It is an absolute honor and privilege to have the opportunity to lead the most successful women’s swimming & diving program in NCAA history,” Lindauer said. “The standard for academic and athletic excellence at Stanford is second to none, and provides a platform for greatness well beyond the student-athlete experience. I’d like to thank Alden Mitchell, Angie Jabir and Richard Zhu for believing in me and giving my family and I this amazing opportunity. It is my absolute mission to continue the excellent tradition of bringing NCAA Championships to The Farm, and I cannot wait to get started.”

Nathan Wang

8th Place Finish at Amherst Regional

Three-under par performances and a late-round, six-birdie flurry provided an opportunity to extend the postseason for Stanford men’s golf but was ultimately not enough as the Cardinal completed the final round of action from the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional at Poplar Grove Golf Club on Wednesday. Stanford, which shot 1-under for the round, ended the tournament at 13-over and in eighth overall.

Nathan Wang completed his junior campaign on The Farm with his sixth-consecutive top-30 finish, placing 27th overall at 3-over for the tournament. TK Chantananuwat also shot well during the tournament, placing tied for 55th at 11-over for the tournament to wrap up his freshman campaign.
