CAMDEN, N.J. - The Stanford lights closed out the 2024-25 season with a sixth-place finish in the Commissioner's Cup standings at the IRA Championships at Cooper River this weekend.
Racing began Saturday with preliminary heats, where the double qualified for Sunday’s grand final with a third-place time of 8:15.33, securing one of the top three spots needed to advance in heat one.
Heat races for the varsity four (8:28.70) and varsity eight (6:55.91) were held to determine lane placements for Sunday’s finals, where the Cardinal boats placed seventh and sixth, respectively.

Returning to the river on Sunday, the Cardinal began the morning with a fourth-place finish in the 2x with a time of 7:49.47.
The varsity four group followed with a seventh-place finish in 7:41.92, while the varsity eight clocked a 6:41.16 to finish sixth.
