Nine Summer Transfers Added

Stanford football up to 17 incoming transfers for 2025

STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford football welcomed nine new transfers to campus on Saturday, bringing the total number of incoming transfers for 2025 to 17. This is the most transfers in a single season brought in by the Cardinal in the program's history.

The nine newcomers who arrived on The Farm on Saturday bring a strong level of athletic and academic prowess to the team, fitting right in with the culture that Andrew Luck and Frank Reich are building. 

Five of the nine transfers are on the offensive side of the ball: two quarterbacks, two offensive linemen, and one wide receiver. On defense, Stanford made significant upgrades in the secondary, welcoming three defensive backs in addition to one linebacker.

Hunter Barth

Prior to Stanford

  • Spent five seasons at California, appearing in 42 games at linebacker and on special teams
  • Compiled 65 tackles, including four tackles-for-loss, and a pair of sacks
  • Best season came during the 2024 season, where he posted career-highs in tackles (38), tackles-for-loss (4), and sacks (2)...also forced two fumbles and defended two passes…both of his sacks came against Wake Forest, as did one of his forced fumbles (Nov. 8)...tied a career-high in tackles with seven during the 127th Big Game vs. Stanford

Nick Fattig

Prior to Stanford

  • Spent two seasons at Texas Tech, appearing in four games at left guard during his redshirt freshman season in 2024
  • Made his collegiate debut against Baylor (Oct. 19)...saw snaps in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Arkansas (Dec. 29)
  • Redshirted during the 2023 campaign
  • Played high school football at Clear Springs High School in League City, Texas
  • Earned three varsity letters on the football team and was also a standout on the track and field team where he competed in the discus
  • Ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 17 interior offensive lineman in the country by 247Sports
  • Did not allow a sack during his three varsity seasons and compiled more than 160 pancake blocks

Ben Gulbranson

Prior to Stanford

  • Completed 61.8% of his passes for 2,648 yards and 15 touchdowns, while adding in six rushing touchdowns
  • Enjoyed a breakout run during the 2022 season, where he went 7-1 in eight starts for the Beavers…completed 62.% of his passes for 1,455 yards…scored 14 total touchdowns and helped lead Oregon State to a win over Florida in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl…was one of just two Pac-12 quarterbacks in 2022 with a rushing touchdown in four-straight games (Caleb Williams)...led a comeback win against Stanford by throwing the game-winning 56-yard touchdown (Oct. 8)

David Pantelis

Dylan Rizk

Prior to Stanford

  • Spent two seasons at the University of Central Florida, redshirting his freshman season (saw action in one game) while playing in six games in his redshirt freshman campaign, making three starts

Jordan Washington

Prior to Stanford

  • Spent four seasons in the secondary for Dartmouth, appearing in 28 games over his final three years
  • Amassed 72 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles-for-loss, and broke up 20 passes
  • Recorded his first career interception in 2024, taking it 58 yards for a touchdown in the season finale against Brown (Nov. 23)
  • Was a key part of Dartmouth’s special teams unit, blocking two kicks, including a blocked field goal in the 2024 season opener against Fordham, which he returned 60 yards for a touchdown (Sept. 21)
