World Aquatics Junior World Championships

Stanford represented with six participants, including five from Team USA

SALVADOR, BRAZIL – Stanford will have a significant presence among the U20 World Aquatics Junior World Championships when competition gets underway Aug. 10 in Salvador, Brazil.

The Cardinal will be represented with six selections overall, led by Kamryn Barone, Christine Carpenter, Lucy Haaland-Ford, Quinn Healy and Amber Nowaczek competing for the United States. Current Stanford student-athletes account for five spots among Team USA’s 15-player roster.

Meanwhile, Izzy Scott will be in action for Australia.

Team USA was drawn into Group B and will meet Hungary, Greece and Italy in group play.

Australia will slot into Group D and face Canada, China and South Africa in group play.
